P-224: Mechanisms That Reduce Endometrial Receptivity in Endometriosis
نویسندگان
چکیده مقاله:
Background: Several studies indicate clear relationship between infertility and endometriosis. However, the etiology of this association is uncertain. Endometrial dysfunction is a possible cause of infertility in women with endometriosis, which could explain the high rates of implantation failure and miscarriages in these women. Delay in endometrial maturation and intrauterine biochemical abnormalities may be causing this problem. Materials and Methods: Review study Results: It has been shown that in patients with endometriosis, during implantation window, express of the ligands that mediated embryo- endometrium attachment (like α5β integrin), are low. On the other hand, in the many of these cases, the production of enzymes involved in the synthesis of the ligands for L-Selectin (the protein that coats the trophoblasts in the maternal blood level) are lower than the control group. It seems that the presence of ectopic endometrium and its secreted inflammatory mediators can reduce endometrial reception, directly and indirectly. For example, secretion of specific types of prostaglandin by the peritoneal endometrium, indeed of inhibition of the binding of trophoblasts to their endometrial receptors, can also induce uterine contractions, that excrete embryo. Conclusion: In this paper, the mechanisms involved in reducing endometrial receptivity in the women with endometriosis, will be reviewed.

Redefining Endometrial Receptivity
However, the notion of receptivity as a static state in which the tissue is poised, frozen in time, awaiting the arrival of an adequately developed embryo, is naïve. An integrative definition of receptivity must embrace communication between maternal and embryonic tissues. At receptivity, the endometrium has reached a point at which negotiation can begin that may or may not lead to successful i...
متن کاملEndometrial Receptivity: Cell Biological Aspects
The cell biological basis of endometrial receptivity and trophoblast invasiveness, the two preconditions for implantation ("implantation windowtl), still remains enigmatic. Recently, however, the application of modern concepts of cell biology and developmental biology concentrating on celladhesion and cell polarity seems to open promising new views of these phenomena. At implantation initiation...

متن کاملPinopodes: a questionable role in endometrial receptivity.
BACKGROUND A better understanding of endometrial receptivity is crucial to the creation and optimization of tests to assess the window of implantation in a clinical setting. Testing endometrial receptivity via scanning electron microscopy of endometrial samples reveals that pinopodes are a very good marker of endometrial receptivity in the rat. There is still disagreement in the literature as t...
متن کاملEndometrial nerve fibres in endometriosis
Endometriosis is a common gynaecological disease that can cause severe pelvic pain such as dysmenorrhoea and dyspareunia, however the mechanisms by which pain is generated are not well understood. Nerve fibres in endometriotic plaques have been reported by several authors. We have recently demonstrated the presence of unmyelinated sensory nerve fibres (using the pan-neuronal marker PGP9.5) in t...
متن کاملMolecular and cellular aspects of endometrial receptivity.
Endocrine and paracrine controls regulate the endometrium during the luteal phase of the cycle to permit implantation. Part of this differentiation process is the production of a specific secretion which fills the intrauterine cavity and glandular lumen. Its molecular composition originates from the gland secretion, from transudations from stroma, from the endometrial blood vessels, and last, b...
